Environmental Voices

Air Quailty Program

1. Radon - A natural occuring ordorless, colorless gas the effects the whole United States. 1 in 15 homes in United States is effected while in Minnesota 1 in 3 homes is effected.

2. Carbon Monoxide - Ordorless, colorless gas that is formed in your home by inproper burning of fuel (propane, fuel oil, wood, etc.).

Rare, Threatened and Endangered species that are uncommon or rapidly declining and has potential to be lost from the Reservation in the near future. DRM Fire Program

Duane Bebeau tells us how they prepare to fight fires, plan and execute fuel reduction projects, conduct controlled burns, what equipment they use and what you can do to become a fire fighter.

Geographic Information System

Geographic Information System, or GIS, is a system designed to capture, store, manipulate, analyze, manage, and present all types of geographical data. Levi Brown tells us what GIS technology is doing for the Leech Lake Reservation.
